C210 Skyline - I Heart JAPAN

It's been 2 month's since i've had my last post on the blog. Although I had plans to update it a little earlier last month, procrastination had my guard down. My designs kinda suck in these recent times probably because of my lack of practice and being a little bit more focused on SPM this year. Its not the lack of Inspiration or passion, but there's just some missing ingredient or link that ignites its spark. I guess the spark is misfiring and the ideas aren't igniting very well. Instead of getting the results i'd want, it turns out the opposite as i expect it to be and instead makes me uninspired. Of course I'll fix that somehow... The conclusion was about why I had decided to blog on this topic was the raging passion I have everyday for a c210 skyline and a license sometime soon (which my mom refuses to allow me to get a license till i'm 21, yes i know its horrendously ridiculous)

Gold is the new Black, 80's Colour Combo rocks. c210 Nissan Skyline 2000GT
Just so you're confused or aren't sure why i'm posting about old classic cars, check out a few posts back about the classic Mazda Rx-3 I blogged about. I am indeed a fan of classic cars. The c210 Skyline was a Nissan Skyline produced in 1978-1982, where it was the first Japanese car to offer a Turbo (early turbo's were quite inefficient because they weren't intercooled and had no blow off valves) and were offered in different bodyshells. Hardtop coupe, sedan and station wagon. It also offered different engines and trims :- 1800cc and 2400cc. And in turn, Nissan actually marketed them as Datsun 240k's and 180k's outside the Japanese market. Thus they sold it here in Malaysia too. It's just dissapointing that many people don't see the real value and Gem they are (many Malaysians would consider them as junk at the first glance due to many run down conditions, even I compromised its potential when i first saw it). Recently I had just made a compilation of c210 Skylines pictures on facebook, for Inspirations sake. By the way just so you're wondering why I added the I Heart JAPAN on the post, skylines were nicknamed according to their popularity from their ad's such as KGC110 - Hakosuka or C110 - Kenmeri (coupe), GC110 - Yonmeri(sedan) Therefore C210's was nicknamed JAPAN. The Japanese nickname their cars in their motoring sub cultures. (Example :- Toyota Corolla AE86 - Hachiroku.)

I am a fan of SKYLINE JAPAN! C210 Skylines a.k.a Datsun 180k rawks!

Here are my personal favourites, especially the blue one you see here.. in Daikoku Futo (the infamous complicated, facinating, strange, metropolitan, modern highway you see in Japan or Japanese games) oh! and wangan midnight if you're more familiar with. Pics adapted from 7tune. Speedhunters, abc hobby and some random ones.
Now check out the RC body for a c210!

Now on the other hand, apart from C210 Skylines, here are some of my artwork done recently. Although their not sketches * and this blog was meant for the sketches and designs, but i still consider these as my designs and works of art. Lol

Yup, thats for it, will be posting a c210 video soon :D

Project MFSC : Sketches & Folders Pt. 1a - MFSC Related

As I've mentioned earlier about how I was feeling Inspired because Ps. Reuben spoke about Passion and about finding people who will reignite your passion yesterday, I had stumbled upon some interesting things and blogs which are almost identical in terms of interest. And since i wasn't able to upload the pics last night on the revealing of Project MFSC well the FB Creators we're smart by adding the download photo button in the photo viewer thing! Anyways for Part 1, i'll be showcasing the MFSC(Malaysia's First Super Car) Related artworks first, then non-related which makes the majority and my Engine related stuff like the Real Paper Engine, Sketches..

Continue on to Part 1.b! So Stay tuned!

Project MFSC : Sketches & Folder Pt.1

I'm feeling alittle Inspired today since Ps. Reuben spoke on Passion today and one of the particular things he spoke about Passion was finding people who will reignite your passion. Which I had been surfing around the net and stumbled upon some interesting things that has the exact purpose of this blog itself! It's been quite a while since i kept my promised on the revealing of Project MFSC, but to keep it alive, i'll be posting talot of sketches that has been missing out on the blog especially the least updated ones before the blog started. Although most of the sketches has been updated on my Project MFSC folder in FB , but I honestly had to share it here for the lack of masterpieces I had uploaded. So here would be Part 1 starting for the earlier sketches i have done for Project MFSC..

Apparently, FB doesn't SAVE AS pictures anymore for the stupid viewer anymore NOOO!!!!!!!

A link provided first till i get a solution to get it done.. kinda lazy right now and wee hours in the morn, goin to my awesomely Dad's house tomorrow and joining my huge family every sunday!
See ya soon! ~

Featured Latest Artwork! - CNY 2011 Editions

Okay it's confession time. I admit that its been ages since i've posted something in the blog. But of course, its the time of the year where i should be posting something again. For this month of February, I'll be showcasing the CNY 2011 Editions of sketches. Just in case you aren't sure what CNY stands for, its Chinese New Year or in other words the Lunar New Year. So just like every year, we go back to our hometowns to have a reunion with our families again and this year is just as how it is usually, kinda boring this year. Hence the Drawings and sketches.. Enjoy :)
My best sketch with a ballpoint pen so far. Used a reference from the book i got for Christmas ( How to design cars like a pro)

I know this drawing seems unexpected or lower than your expectations but if i haven't mention, I have a passion and interest for classic cars too. Although i've grown much more into JDM's or JNC's ( Japanese Nostalgic car) since there is a huge abundance around in Malaysia still waiting to be restored i myself am waiting to get one for a low price and getting it done up Kyusha-Kai style ;) it might be a term that speaks more of the modifying scene, but well its part of designs anyways. In terms of a more Japanese Culture influence in modding.
Anyways back to the topic!

The car above is actually a Mazda Rx-3 or Savanna GT (in Japan). I know the car is out of proportion xP. I actually had kinda scrapped it and just kept it as junk in my room until i discovered it back and had a great idea using Tracing paper to do some mods on it. Which explains the next picture. Kyusha Style! :D

Here's a real example of the car

Here's the transformation of the original sketch with tracing paper :D
Gave it Some fender mirrors (its a Japanese thing or taste per say), Some black bolted on fenders, classic front spoiler, some SSR MkII's with deep dish offset wheels, and for the first time in my life! i drew cambers for the rear wheel!, Ducktail spoiler ( i don't know why classics seems to just suit well with ducktail spoilers) , Lower Side Skirts, and lastly a mazda sticker on the windscreen. =P

Anyways here's for viewing pleasure purposes of the interesting Savanna GT/ Rx-3 in racing form. This has Gurachan styling rather than Kyusha-Kai =P.. (Gurachan emphasizes more on outrages unrestricted modification of the body and aerodynamics for cars during the 70's in Japan for car races which has evolved to become and create Bosozoku styling and movement in Japan :D ) Check those SSR rims! looks abit like star sharks :D

Well mostly thats it, more posts on the way then! Updated these drawings on My FB photo's folder "Project -MFSC" so stay tuned or check it out where most of my complete folder of drawings are!
